The health and safety of our guests and team members is our number one priority.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have made every effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to protect everyone who enters our doors. As we reopen on October 8th, we want to re-emphasize this commitment to our community, team members, and guests.
Our already elevated health and safety protocols have been intensified and expanded. In addition to our cleaning and sanitation standards that exceed health department guidelines, and our consistent use of personal protective equipment and social distancing, all of our team members conduct a daily health screening and temperature check as a precondition of reporting to work.
We've conducted two rounds of testing our full staff, and there have been no new positive cases since Sept. 30. Upon engaging with King County Public Health and voluntarily suspending operations, we have been assured that we were very proactive in our efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We can say with confidence that we have met the criteria set forth by King County Public health in order to safely resume operations. "Salish Lodge & Spa cooperated fully with Public Health to address the recent cases of COVID-19. They have taken the necessary steps to re-open, including testing of all employees and implementing additional prevention control measures," said Dr. Vance Kawakami, Epidemiologist at Public Health – Seattle & King County.
We are also implementing additional protocols for guests of Salish Lodge & Spa. Face coverings will continue to be required in all common areas, and guests will now be asked to complete a brief health screening prior to arrival and a temperature check when arriving or returning to the Lodge.
In the event that new positive cases arise, we are committed to timely communication to all who have visited the Lodge during the window of time presenting a potential risk of exposure, no matter how low the risk.
For more than a century, Salish Lodge & Spa has been a respite for travelers, and we take great pride and responsibility in continuing that legacy in a safe, welcoming environment for all. Our guest and team member health and safety remain our top priority.
