After more than a century of creating memorable Pacific Northwest guest experiences, Salish Lodge & Spa is embarking on an exciting, new chapter in its history. Great care has gone into planning a renovation that combines what is widely and fondly regarded as quintessentially 'Salish' – like our historic wood-burning fireplaces throughout the lodge in our lobby, library, and restaurants – with thoughtful upgrades and luxury amenities that will enhance the Salish experience for years to come.
Scheduled for completion in late spring 2018, this $12 million renovation is the largest property improvement initiative undertaken at Salish since 1988. All guestrooms will be remodeled honoring the beloved Salish legacy with a contemporary mountainside concept that has an earthy yet current feel. Each guestroom will carry forward the cozy, authentic Pacific Northwest ambiance that has long characterized Salish through use of natural textures, warm woods, and organic fabrics. New features will include gas fireplaces, and deluxe bathrooms with our signature oversized soaking tub or a shower with dual showerheads. The lodge's suites will offer both a tub and shower.
The corridors will also receive a facelift, with new carpet and paint. Additional renovations include revitalizing the award-winning spa, including an expansion to the ladies' locker room, and maintenance on balconies and the lodge exterior.
What to Expect
The lodge will remain open during the renovation and we anticipate minimal impact to your stay, meeting or event. Work has been divided into two phases, each concentrated in a particular area of the lodge, and will be limited to daytime hours. We are thrilled to announce that the first half of the guestrooms are complete, and the entire renovation will be finished later this spring. We couldn't be more excited about the enhanced guest experience the improvements will bring – and can hardly wait for a whole new chapter of Salish memories to begin!
